Update: I wrote up a standalone text version of this tutorial, you can get it at http://inclem.net/2014/01/12/kivy-crash-course/2_building_an_android_apk/
In this second instalment of my kivy crash course tutorials, we compile the app from part 1 straight to android – no special treatment, no platform specific incantations, just straight to the device. Also I disappoint everyone with my terrible real-life filming, I’ll try to replace that bit when I have a proper camera around!
This first couple of minutes is mostly information about the android build process. If you already know how to install buildozer and want to get going, you can skip to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8N_8WkALdE&t=2m53s .
This particular video makes a few assumptions about your operating system and python installation – in particular, you need to be usingl linux or OS X, and to have pip available. If you don’t and aren’t sure how to do that, I suggest checking out kivy’s apk building page http://kivy.org/docs/guide/packaging-android.html , and asking on kivy’s irc/mailing list if you still don’t see a way.
